I am always telling my students “Nice people do nice things.” Children at that age never ever stop to consider others’ feelings but are the first to complain when they have been injured emotionally or physically. What I mean when I say that is if you want to have nice friends and be treated well, you need to return the favor.

i always found the poem the Desiderata particularly insightful.
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

This means that is someone dies you shoul do all you can to make sure that person death does not go unnoticed(like fundraisers and so on), But there is no good in killing someone.
